Instituto Cervantes De Wellenkamp 15-30 NL 6545 NM NIJMEGEN Netherlands The Prime Minister of Great Britain Mr Tony Blair Downing Street 10 LONDON SW1 UNITED KINGDOM Concerns: CONGRATULATIONS Date: 5 May 1997 Reference: JH/TB970505 Dear Mister Blair, As the owner of the trademark Instituto Cervantes in class 41 education, trainings and courses in the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxemburg and the Limited Liability Company Instituto Cervantes England and Wales I would like to congratulate you on your electoral victory and appointment as Prime Minister shortly after my fortnight's mission to your country. On the 28 of April I handed over my business plan Instituto Cervantes Netherlands, Belgium, Luxemburg, England and Wales to the representative of the Chairman of the District Council of Stratford-upon-Avon in order to establish there the head office of the new organization. I also authorized a British citizen to represent me in the United Kingdom. As you declared that you have only three priority's 'education, education and education' and being a supporter of public private partnership I hope that I may count on the complete support of your government in the nearest future. The main activity of the organization in Britain wil be the development and execution of bilingual (English-Spanish) or trilingual (English-Dutch-Spanish) management training programmes. For that I handed my business plan also to the directors of Henley Management College and Warwick Business School at the University of Warwick. My plan was born at the Management Centre of the Dutch employer's organization in Noordwijk, where you will have your first Euro top next 23 May and will meet with some of my Dutch supporters as to be found in the enclosed brochure of the Government Game Competition 1997. I wish you and your government every success in the future. Especially on issues concerning the Rising Sun of Europe, as one of my supporters stated last Friday. Yours sincerely, INSTITUTO CERVANTES Netherlands, Belgium, Luxemburg, England and Wales JOHN VAN DER HEYDEN
