19 December 1996
LONDON VISIT. Dear Diana, Today my horoscope advised me to choose my allies with care and to slow down. I think it would be wise that I will remain in the Netherlands until the official registration of Instituto Cervantes Limited United Kingdom has taken place and good security measures can be taken. I regret having to take this decision, but I will maintain my course and I certainly will bring you my Christmas present in a later stage however. For security reasons I handed over my correspondence to you as mentionned in the enclosed summary to our Ministry of Justice by mediation of my Lord Mayor. I will have the support of the complete Dutch government as enclosed personal Christmas card of our Prime Minister may be a witness. I wish you all the light you need for Christmas and God's blessings. Enclosed: Copy of the Christmas Card of our Prime Minister.
P.S. My Christmas tree will be Red and Purple this year.
